Philanthropy
The Jana E. Pinker Memorial Foundation supports varies local, national and international charitable and artistic organization. Jana was interested in the arts community and very involved with other charitable organizations. On this page are links to our current philanthropic recipients representing a $2,200 annual budget.
National Foundation for Cancer Research
The National Foundation for Cancer research is our largest recipient of philanthropic funding per year. Jana dead from Cancer and we are dedicated to the research and the possible cure for this disease that afflicts so many every year. Please take a moment and visit their website via our link.
Johnson County Community College Foundation
The Johnson County Community College Foundation’s mission statement is simple, “to enhance the Johnson County community by promoting access to the college and advancing institutional excellence through financial support.” In addition to the support it offer’s our community, the JCCC Foundation has been, and continues to be, a wonderfully support of our Foundation. Friends of Chamber Music

Charles Darwin Foundation*
The Charles Darwin Foundation is our international charitable organization that we support. Jennifer and I visited the Galapagos Islands after Jana died and realized Jana would have loved seeing all the wonderful animals and plants and experiencing the breathtaking vistas. Our support of the Islands will hopefully insure that many more people will have the opportunity to discover this fantastic wildlife refuge. Please take a moment and visit their website.

Kansas City Ballet
The Kansas City Ballet, formerly State Ballet of Missouri, is one of our many local arts organizations that we support. Whoever has seen the Nutcracker performance during the holiday season knows why we continue to support and enjoy the artistry of this wonderful organization. Advent Lutheran Church
In 2009, the Foundation was able to help sponsor Advent Lutheran Church’s aid work in Agua Prieta, Mexico. “This ministry is based on volunteers, including youth, from all walks of life. They build hope while serving others, providing materials, labor and prayer support. They work side-by-side with our neighbors helping the local community and beyond.”

Aside from these philanthropic recipients, the Foundation is always seeking new ways in which we can support our community, locally and globally.
